This week...

This week I am I my way to Antigua!  Very crazy busy week and my eating wasn't too bad. I'm actually looking forward to 10 days at an all inclusive resort, and plan to eat better than my everyday life as I will have someone coming for me every day!  The resort has lots of activities and a fool service gym, which I plan to use everyday.  Very much looking forward to relaxing and maybe the lack of stress will help me shed a few more pounds.

Second Weigh In!

Ok, let's just say this blogging thing is a bit for me to get the hang of.  After some encouraging words from Annie, I am going to stick with it though and try to use it more regularly until it's natural.  This weigh in was not what I expected it to be and felt somewhat discouraged by the not so great results on the scale.  I actually gained I think 1.5 pounds.  I know what I am suppose to be doing, but lack balance.  I tend to work to much, stay up to late and hit the ground running each morning without planning out my meals and eating times.  I often don't eat enough, then am famished and eat things I shouldn't.  I am a realtor, so my days are very unpredictable.  This past weekend I was out in the field from morning until evening and found that packing an ice chest in my car was key.  I made sure to have my lunch as well several "munchables" that I could eat between house showings.  This was very helpful.  If any of you have suggestions for easy things to pack, please give me your input.
Next week I am traveling so this will be a HUGE challenge.  I am going to Antigua for 10 days and while I am sooooooo excited to go, I am also sooooooooo afraid of the all inclusive food faire that will be there.

Congratulations to all of you ladies who lost!  And to those like myself, well, hang in there!  We can do this!

Hi Everyone -
I am a little bit behind on starting my blog, but wanted to write a couple of things before week 2 gets away from me.  I have never blogged before, so please excuse my cyber ignorance :)  I do like to write, so I am hoping this will help me keep on track.  So far, this week has started out a bit rough and my eating has not been as on track as I would like it to be.  My youngest had her 5th birthday party over the weekend and of coarse there was bday cake! Erghhhhh!  My family also really makes the most out of occasions, so the day also meant visiting into the late late night and more foods that aren't ideal for me right now.  "Occasions" tend to be my hardest struggles and with my family being so large, there is an "occasion" almost every month between normal holidays and birthdays.  I have not yet found my magic approach to these things.  Any suggestions?

My goals overall for this next 3 months are to exercise a minimum of 3-4 times per week and keep my eating clean and lo-carb.  No carb doesn't work for me, but I am finding that lo-carb does... overall I just feel better when I am not weighted down with a bunch of starches.  My weight loss goal is to lose 25 pounds, which is not going to be easy, but I am determined!
